Childhood
Murdoc Alphonce Faust Niccals was born in Stroke-on-trent, Essex on 6/6/66.
His father is known to be Sebastian Jacob (or Jacob Sebastian depending on who's asking) Niccals but his mother's indentity
is unknown to the public. Some believe that his mother was a mental patient who was terminally bored at the time of her
son's birth. Young Murdoc was dumped on the doorstep of his father's ill-kept abode and was taken in. Murdoc's childhood was
probably one the worst any guy could have. His older brother, Hannibal and he definatly did not get long. Hannibal is
also known to be responsible for Murdoc's several nose injuries. His father was a drunken waste of a man who forced little
Murdoc to participate in embarassing musical acts to pay off his drinking debts. Murdoc did not gain his confidence until
he discovered good music like Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin and many others. He also had musical influence
form his brother who was heaviliy into Punk music. Murdoc also formed several bands that remained unsuccessful.
Forming Gorillaz
The first stages of Gorillaz slow formation was when Murdoc set off to begin
a new band, and his first step was to rob a music store. There, Murdoc litteraly ran into Stuart Tusspot (or Stu-Pot
for short) by crashing his car through the window and taking out one of Stu's eyes. The second time, was when
he sent him flying out the window of his car and taking out the second. Stu then developed the name "2D" which is the abbrevation
for "2 dents". Murdoc's next step was to find a drummer, and he heard of a New York native hip-hop connoisseur,
Russel Hoobs and set off to find him. He came across Russel at Big Rick Black's record shack where Russel worked.
At an instant, Murdoc kidnapped Russel and covinced him to become their drummer. Russel, at the time, was also possessed by the
ghosts of his dead friends, most notably Del, who rapped on two of Gorillaz songs.
Murdoc's third approach was to get a guitarist, and that was Paula Cracker, who at
the time was 2-D's girlfriend. She wasn't around for long, but the first thing he knew when she was drafted into the band
was that she was attracted to Murdoc. When Russel caught Paula and Murdoc going at it in a toilet stall one night, Paula
was instantly booted out of the band.
Gorillaz (Or "Gorilla" at the time) was desperate for a guitarist, so they put up
an ad for their search. Soon, Murdoc's unsaid prayers had been answered. A fed-ex crate had shown up on the doorstep
of they're home. Murdoc, set down the phone and stepped out side when he heard the rapping at his door,
but saw no one there. Just this crate. He dragged the rain-splattered crate inside, and rounded up the others to
see what was inside. The crate was pryed open, and out jumped Noodle, a energetic little japanese girl with a bad
case amnesia and a one guitar. She couldn't speak english, but her talent said it all. Gorillaz soared onward form
here.
Currently
The fictional band went on from there. They were huge everywhere, making a hit with
their song 'Clint Eastwood' which made them in the UK, but their second hit 'Feel Good Inc' mad them big practically everywhere.
Along with 'Dare'.
Right now, Gorillaz are going on a second hiatus. (hopefully it won't mean an end) 2D
is Jamacia, burning like a hot ember on a sandy beach. Russel is exploring his inner demons back in Brooklyn,
and Murdoc is trying to sell Kong while delting with a mid-life crisis, bankrupty, and the fact that Noodle is in hell.
Murdoc, unfortunatly, is taking his sweet time in order to rescue her, but he says that he will retrieve her. (He better)
